About Me

My name is Laura-Jane and I am a freelance hair stylist and makeup artist based near Charlestown, covering Cornwall and the surrounding areas. I have been Specialising in bridal and special occasion hair and makeup and have over 13 years experience working in the Bridal industry.

My career started after training in hairdressing at the City of Bristol College. Since then I have completed various makeup courses whilst furthering my practical training working in top salons and agencies in both bristol and London and assisting Emmy award winning Makeup artist Eve Pearl with her cosmetics lauch in the UK.

The highlights of my career include working at The Ritz Salon, providing hair and makeup for celebrity and high profile clients before film premieres and press events, providing hair for Natalie Morales on NBC News and working with guests of hotels such as The Dorchester, The Four Seasons Spa, and The Mandarin Oriental whilst living in London.

Corporate clients of mine include Coca Cola, PayPal, ASOS, John Lewis and Ebay. My work has also been featured multiple times in The Sun Newspaper, The Daily Mail, Country Life Magazine, Rock 'n' Roll bride and Cornwall's Wed Magazine.

During my time providing professional wedding hair and makeup I have had the pleasure of meeting over 750 brides, each with their own unique styling. My career has enabled me to travel across the UK and beyond, doing what I love, whilst also meeting a variety of fantastic people along the way.
